Prepare your boat before going to sea to stay safe.

It is a good idea to have the boat and trailer serviced annually by a reputable service agent.
Should you choose to do it yourself here are some pointers.

• Check battery condition and charge.
• Switch on and check operation of all electrical equipment, eg navigation lights, radio, bilge pump etc.
• Check registration
• Top up fuel
• Check safety equipment, listed in safety section
• Test run the motor, ensure good water flow.
• Put in the plugs.
• Check access to tow point on the bow of the boat. If you need a tow the eye on the bow of the boat is by far the best place to attach the tow rope. You may have a short rope with a loop permanently attached to the eye with the loop attached on deck.
