Preparing boat for storage

Work done in preparing the boat and trailer for storage will identify things that need attention and give plenty of
time for them to be rectified before you want to go again. The better this is done the least time and delay will be
experienced when the weather improves and you want to get out there.

Preparing the boat.

• Wash down thoroughly using a rust preventative truck wash.
• Run and wash out the motor.
• Check battery condition.
• Isolate the battery/s with isolator or remove negative terminal.
• Put boat with bow up attitude and remove the plugs.
• Treat the fuel with an additive to prevent it going stale.
• Use a lanolin type spray on all electrical wiring and equipment
