Once again the Sea Rescue Squadron had a display stand at the Adelaide Boat Show on the 30th June to the 2nd July at Wayville. This year we were able to display our new SR 01 Boat which created great interest. Being only 3 days this year we found the attendance on the first day better than normal, the organisers overall were pleased with the numbers.
There was increased interest in our Training Course particularly the SROCP, we had to twice reprint the information sheets. Safety Brochure Handouts are always popular particularly 27mkh and the VHF Radio Stickers. A representative of our Barcoo Function Centre Committee Milton Caire came on Saturday and handed out Brochures.
Thank you to all Volunteers including Keith Lennan for transporting SR01 and our Commodore Al Cormack who attended the Boating Industry of Australia breakfast where I’m sure some networking was done and also Peter Carter for taking the Photos.
All of our Volunteers enjoyed their time at the show and came away realising the respect the SR Squadron has with the Boating Community.
