On Monday 6 May a significant hazard was spotted by eagle eyed Kerri Krieg in Game Fisher while fishing near the Glenelg Tyre Reef.
Kerri found the 5 metre piece of timber floating vertically with only about 15 cm visible in the water and successfully towed it to West Beach where Peter Riches, Geoff Faulkner and Dennis Hickling towed it to safety.
Well done Kerri, you might have prevented some serious damage to a vessel.
