The Australia Day Holiday promotion at West Beach was a huge effort by those who attended. The day was a dream day to be on the water so the ramps were flat out from before 07:00 to 17:00. the trailer park, overflow park and all other available parks in the area were full with vessels going into the water as well as vessel recovering in a constant stream.
In the midst of this the Police asked for a cleared pontoon to allow a boat with an injured person to get in and the ambulance to come and get him.
Many many people thanked us for being there and keeping some order in the proceedings. It was a great effort that boosted our profile to the boating public.
